Area Rug

• Rotate your rugs so they wear evenly. A regular cleaning will prevent fiber wear caused by dust and dirt.
• Do not expose your rugs to direct sunlight, this will prevent fiber wear and colour fading.
• Remove dirt on your short-pile rugs and carpets using the beater bar of your vacuum. A suction-only vacuum is enough on shag rugs to avoid damaging the loops.
• Place felt pads under your furniture legs and move the furniture around from time to time to make sure that pile won't stay compressed irremediably.
• Repair immediately any damaged fringe or edge.
• Do not steam clean your rugs. Professional cleaning services include rug beating, a cleaning with water and mild soap, a gentle wringing and a quick hang drying in controlled temperature.
• To store your rug, roll it and add mothballs. Avoid storing it in a basement where insects and dust mites can damage it.
